Toronto, Ontario, October 30th, 2017 — Enthusiast Gaming Inc., (“Enthusiast Gaming”) the fastest growing online community of video gamers, together with, is excited to announce the highly anticipated return of Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo (EGLX), Canada’s largest video game expo to The International Centre from March 9th – 11th, 2018.

Last year, EGLX drew over 12,000 gaming enthusiasts including eSports celebrities, gaming shops, an arcade section, student designers, board gamers, Indie developers, cosplayers, kids zone, and YouTubers. Canada’s video game industry has rapidly expanded over the last decade and is home to 472 active studios developing, publishing and distributing video games according to the ESA (Entertainment Software Association of Canada). The ESA also reported that in 2015, the industry contributed more than $3 billion to Canada’s economy and is expected to continue to grow in the coming years.

Canada’s eSports industry has been growing alongside the video game industry at an explosive rate.  According to Newzoo’s annual Global eSports Market Report, 2016 saw over $93 million awarded to eSports competitors.  The industry is on target to pass $1.4 billion in revenue by 2020. In Canada, the craze is well underway with large venues such as Toronto’s ACC selling out for massive eSports competitions.
